Commissioning of temporary Maternity Ward
The Rotary Club of Konge Lukuli and the local District Governor Francisco SSemwanga, officially opened the (temporary) Maternity Ward in Kyebe whilst renovations start on the main facility.
Attending were key members of the Rotary Club, representatives of the Department of Health, local doctors, nurses and midwives, and members and elders of the community.
The temporary maternity ward ensures services to expecting mothers and children remain available for the community, during the ongoing renovations.
The existing facility renovations have also started, with the construction of new retaining walls, outer walls and preparation for repairs to the foundations.
